A striped cotton polo sweater that is pure cotton and barely 15 dollars.
We rarely see all-cotton land at this price. Uniqlo's Smooth Cotton Polo Sweater is 100 percent cotton, no polyester padding out the yarn, no rayon doing the work cotton should do. That earns it an A: it breathes, it softens with washing, and it tells you exactly what it is. At 14.9 dollars it is the easiest yes we have graded. Most labels would have blended this down to cut costs, and the cotton would have been the first thing to go. Uniqlo kept it honest. Striped, smooth, and made of the right stuff.
Good to know
- The care label says hand wash cold and dry clean, so treat it gently. All-cotton can shrink with heat, and skipping the machine keeps the knit in shape.
- There is no elastane here, so do not expect stretch. It moves like a cotton sweater, not a stretch knit.
- At under 15 dollars for pure cotton, the value is hard to argue with. You are paying for fabric, not a label.
